!!!ANAMANAGUCHI!!!

I won't pretend to know their real names. I won't pretend to be a long time fan, and I definately won't claim to be an authority on all things ANAMANAGUCHI. I will however, reccommend theses inovative artists for using a hacked nintendo as an instrument. The fluid combo of pure 8-bit sound fused with driving guitars makes for an experience like none other. Techno/Dance fans will dig this, and nerds like me will get a heaping helping of nostalgic flavor. If you've played Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: the Game, you've heard them. They did the soundtrack. Below is a link to download a zip folder of their music, and I'm also throwing in some funky artwork that came with the singles. If you like what you hear, ANAMANAGUCHI releases new singles on this website http://www.anamanaguchi.com/singles/.
ENJOY!!!

FUCK CENSORSHIP!

As i'm sitting here playing red dead redemption, I hear the cries of a woman being terrorized. I call for my horse as I'm pressed for time
and ride off into the distance. over the course of my play time I have developed a conscience. The blood-curdling screams pierce

my soul and I think "what would some conservative mom say about this?"

It's pathetic that we live in a world where for one second I would consider the moral implications of a video game.
what's worse is that I allowed the train of thought to puff right along into the realization that the conservative soccer mom
would never think past the superficial; a woman screaming because of violence. The game is unplugged, the story ends there.
what if she waited and watched? initially she is disturbed by the onscreen brutality, but then she sees her child turn tail
and haul ass back to the damsel in distress. without hesitation, his gun is drawn and the would-be assailant is down. or better still
the child instead goes for the non lethal good guy maneuver utilizing his lasso (very batman). the bad guy is subdued, but alive and the girl is
rescued. a positive outcome to what at first appeared to be something worthy of censorship. a video game has instilled positive moral
values in so far as it rewarded an honorable and humane approach to conflict resolution. Sure, you could be an ass and murder
everyone you see, but then the game loses it's fun.
this is not a review of red dead redemption.
this is a critic on censorship, or at least my two-minute opinion.
Following the scenario we have just witnessed, we do more damage covering our eyes than simply acknowledging reality
and dealing with it. I know my views are a bit more liberal than some would like but we live in a world that no longer
has room for the amount of moral sheparding we try to enforce. Think about it. Someone gets paid to watch a movie, or play a game and
pick it apart to find the naughty bits. this person then decides how naughty it is and gives it a rating. these ratings

have become de facto law whereas they restrict who can purchase or view these items. this person is no different from you
or I; human, flawed, sexual, violent, greedy. Now you have given them permission to not only make residual laws but they are
the ones parenting for you. So what if a movie has nudity? so does real life. how the nudity is interpreted depends on how
you adress the issue with your children. the same goes for violence, or foul language. When a child is raised in a
repressed environment two things can happen; a. the child becomes a repressed adult who then breeds another generation of
repressed idiots, b. the child grows up to have a higher chance of being deviant or developing obsessions. Don't believe me?
Here's an example, my parents (while not the best) didn't filter the world like other parents. I saw things that maybe a child
shouldn't see, but I also lost my dillusions about the world much quicker. I am by nature a trusting and naive person in many respects. this advanced
hardening aided me in many trials I have overcome. I am a pretty chill person who would much rather explore creative pursuits
then dance the night away in a bar. I look around and can't understand the meaningless lives of my peers who are so obsessed
with sex and partying and wasting money. these people are content to work boring jobs and lead mundane, typical lives until they
inevitably become pregnant and buy a trailer.
it's disgusting the effects this level of moral bondage has upon us.each day, the vice squeezes us tighter and tighter.
how does a police officer have any more right to command your life than you? a judge, or a senator for that matter? who gave
some midwestern menopausal
the right to have what they think is proper over your preference? There is such a wonderful diversity
of peoples, emotions, and experiences out there. Why censor it all out. I would never suggest encouraging negative or destructive
actions, but we cant eradicate them. Instead of censorship we should try education. In the same priciples of legalizing drugs to
control them, we should stop bleeping out everything that is considered rude. We then can explain the reasons for using
profanity in moderation or for modesty, or manners. following rules is much easier if it makes sense. If you know the fire is hot
you probably wont touch it. If you had no idea it would burn you, it would most likely just piss you off if it was illegal
to touch it.
I could go on, but I won't. I've said my peace for now. I want to play my game.
